Blender: scales well with both CPU and GPU
Blender's Cycles render engine can use either your CPU or GPU (or both together), which makes it flexible on a budget -- a mid-range GPU with 12GB VRAM handles GPU rendering well, and Eevee (Blender's real-time engine) runs comfortably on almost any RTX card for previewing work.
Maya: CPU and RAM heavy, GPU secondary
Maya's viewport and simulation tools (cloth, particles, rigging) lean more on CPU cores and RAM than raw GPU power. A fast 8-core CPU and 32GB RAM matters more here than the latest graphics card, unless you're also using Arnold GPU rendering.
Cinema 4D: balanced, but the Redshift renderer changes everything
C4D itself is fairly light, but most professional pipelines pair it with the Redshift renderer, which is GPU-bound and VRAM-hungry -- the same VRAM math as GPU rendering in any other package applies once Redshift is in your workflow.

If you're not sure which package you'll end up specialising in, Blender is the safest hardware bet -- it scales down gracefully on modest hardware and scales up well if you later add a stronger GPU, without locking you into an expensive software license while you're still learning.
