Why gaming PC prices vary so much in Uganda

Most of the price difference you'll see between shops comes down to three things: whether the GPU is genuine and tested, whether RAM is DDR4 or the newer (pricier) DDR5, and whether you're buying a generic imported system or a truly custom spec. A build advertised suspiciously cheap is usually cutting corners on one of those three.

At PowerPlay, every listed price already includes a tested, genuine GPU, a 1-year warranty, and the option to collect in person at Kampala Plaza, Room F10, so you can see the rig running before you pay — no online-only guesswork.

What actually moves the price

Our advice if you're buying on a budget

If your budget sits under UGX 5,000,000, prioritize the GPU over RAM — 16GB is still perfectly fine for gaming in 2026, but an RTX 3050 vs RTX 3060 is a noticeably different experience at 1080p. If you plan to stream or edit clips of your gameplay, jump to our Pro tier so the CPU doesn't bottleneck you the moment you add OBS on top of a game.
